When I had a freak car accident involving a wind borne trash can smashed in the driver side window and mirror of my car while I was in motion (my infant son and I were miraculously unharmed), Rob arrived quickly and gave excellent service. While I was traumatized and trying to figure out what to do, Rob gave me great advice and was so kind and patient. Rob’s friendly and relaxed, but professional demeanor put me at ease and he made it easy to get my car to the shop. I’m so grateful for him!

I wanted to give a full 4-star but site only had 4.5. I had a local mechanic shop, both owners left this life too soon. 40West was recommended. I am very pleased. Work is completed correct the first time, no upsale pressure, only work required is performed, explanations are given, they treat ladies respectfully and honestly, . I recommend this auto repair company to all. If you are an AAA member and need a tow and repair, you are in luck. You have the option of having your vehicle taken to a good shop. 5-stars

Honest, reasonable, reliable

I called to see what the timing would be on a valve cover gasket replacement so I could plan a trip across the country well. I was told probably the timing would work depending on parts. When asking if we could order the parts ahead of time, I was told to call back when the shop manager was done with lunch. I called back. He was unable to take my call (understandably, he was under a car), but would be calling me back to discuss. Instead, I got a call back from the gal at the desk saying she was told it was not possible to replace my head gasket (very different than a valve cover gasket). I asked if instead, the valve cover gasket was something they could do since that's what I am really wanting done. She said it didn't matter, they couldn't do it. She said when they talked to me before (which has never happened as I would have been a new customer willing to spend a pretty penny), they already told me that. Looks like I will not be a new customer.

I have used 40 West twice for the towing and repair of my “Historic” convertible since April 2022. The most was last week. You might say why are you keeping this car? Well it was our retirement gift to each other as we moved to Florida. 40 West is really the best in the Frederick area. Excellent service and fair pricing makes them an exceptional value. Last minute problem occurred. Took car to 40 West and problem was diagnosed, repairs were made and was on my way in less than 30 minutes. Can’t beat that! Definitely give thanks to Earle, Erick, Kyle Jimmy and everyone else at 40 West.A top rate job at a great price. Customer for life and will spread the word.
