Forty West serviced my car well and had it ready when I asked for it. They were very accommodating, giving me a ride where I needed to go. I highly recommend.

I am new to Frederick and In need of a Mechanic. 40 West auto Care was close and it had good reviews. I took my 2008 GMC to have them take a look at it. I expliend that Car would not start and that I had just replaced the battery. With no change. 40 West Auto worked on my car and the following day was told car was ready. When I asked what the problem was and what they did. I was told that they weren't sure what it was, but they had done a flood clear, hooked up to computer and remove Spark plugs, wich was part of FLOOD CLEAR. They said car started fine after that and no issues. The next day same problem, car would not start. Called 40 West and was told to bring it in. When asked what the cost would be , I was told that he didn't know, it depended on what they needed to do. I have allredy spent $120 and I had lost confidence in them. So I decided to take it to Pep Boys. They told me after 8 hours that it was the starter that was going bad and they also recommended a tune up. Wich meant replacing Spark plugs. When I picked up my car I asked if spark plugs have been taking out. Mechanic said no. Dirt was still their plus theirs one spark plug that is difficult to get to and saw no sign of someone trying to take out spark plug. I feel that car was not worked on as stated by 40 west and when I picked up car it was in same spot as it was left by towing company. I wouldn't recommend to anyone based on my experience their. I felt that I got taken for $120.00.

Found a nail in my tire while running errands. I called and asked for repair. I was told I could come in immediately. I did not ever say I was a return customer, and was accommodated. Tire was fixed while I waited and I was on my way. I always receive quick and courteous service. Thanks!

John is amazing. Always calls and keeps you appraised of what is going on w your vehicle. Gives honest opinions on necessary work and doesn’t push for non-critical work.

2005 corolla had issues starting- sometimes it would crank but not starrt or start and run rough and occasionly run ok. Dropped it off and got a call back with the problem and resolution. It was picked up shortly thereafter and has been running great. Quck, accurate diagnosis and a fair price. That is why i use them.
