Frederick AUTO REPAIR

They've taken good care of my autos since I moved to Frederick over ten years ago. They are honest and trustworthy.

We found ourselves with a dead battery in front of the local Walmart. We had just finished shopping including groceries to take home. We called for a battery jump and West auto care was there in less than 20 minutes. They jumped our truck. We followed their truck back to the shop and had a new high quality interstate battery installed in about 45 minutes. From a dead battery to a brand new battery installed, only took an hour and a half, great job!

I was told I needed new front and rear brakes by another shop. I decided to seek a second opinion and went to 40 West Auto.John (West Auto) informed me that my brakes were 25% used and I did not need new brakes. This saved me hundreds of dollars. I respect their honesty and professionalism.

Reasonable great job friendly staff

This is more of suggestions than a review. I ask and was told that brakes, tires, etc are inspected during a regulars service--oil change. I would have liked to found out the results af that inspection. I guess everything waa OK but would have liked to know when I should expect to replace my brakes for instance or other future maintenance I should expect to do in the future. It would be nice if you had a recommended service schedule of things you should have done at certain mileage milestones. I believe I saw this on your website. You might want it posted in your shop to recommend customers routine maintenance that they should have done at certain mileage milestones. I know that I missed having my tires rotated with the oil change.

40 West was a great experience. They gave me time to make my decision on whether or not to repair my vechile. They were not pushy and very honest. The staff was always friendly and warm. I will definitely use them in the future.

I can’t say enough about John’s friendly attitude and willingness to help clarify mechanical repair issues. Unlike “some dealers I know” he is straight forward and doesn’t try to sell you service you don’t need.

I've taken my vehicles to 40 West for probably 15 years now. They always work with the utmost professionalism, are great at communicating what's going on and what's required to fix whatever's wrong with my vehicle, and give a fair price. They have a customer for life in me.
