My Daughter hit a curb and flattened her tire at 9:00 p.m. on a busy road in Frederick. We called AAA and were told that a tow truck would be out in an hour. We requested 40 West Auto Care and Towing because we had used them in the past. My wife took my daughter home and I stayed with the car. In 15 minutes 40 West showed up and had the car loaded and we were on our way. The next morning the tire was replaced and ready to pick up by noon. Fast, friendly, competent and affordable service. What more could you want when your daughter is stranded on a cold dark night.

Slow service, attitude problems, different price quotes than what's listed on the wall, mongoloid mechanic, they had my vehicle 3x LONGER than originally scheduled over a simple safety inspection WITH an appointment!!! The shop is literally 2 minutes from my house but I'm NEVER going back to these hicks again!!! Save some money and frustration, go somewhere more professional

I have been taking our vehicles to 40 West Auto Care & Towing for several years now. The staff is friendly, courteous and the technicians knowledgeable and skilled. Their efforts have actually saved me money on certain repairs and maintenance. I find 40 West to be reliable, honest, and efficient. I strongly recommend them.

I am a Fleet Manager and have been trying to find a competent auto repair vendor in the Frederick Area for most of 20 years. I have tried many shops with no good results until I found 40 West Auto almost a year ago. 40 West Auto Care and Towing takes cares of my fleet vehicles within a reasonable time at a reasonable rate. I first came in contact with 40 West as a result of a call to AAA for a dead battery. The gentleman who came out shortly after the call was knowledgeable and friendly. As we were new to Frederick, I asked him for a referral, and he gave me a business card for 40 West. I have been taking both our cars there ever since and can't say enough about how happy I am with all aspects of the business. The mechanics are very capable, and John, the head mechanic, is always available to answer questions. They are very honest and don't recommend unnecessary work. I heartily recommend 40 West!

I would not recommend this place to anyone, I had my truck towed from Reston Virginia and decided I would let them take care of the repairs, after getting the call that my car is ready they tell me that my car would need a new distributor, I then take it to another mechanic to do a diagnostic test becasue my truck is now showing the check engine light, they tell me that this place used an aftermarket part for my truck and it needs the factory, at this point I'm upset and go in person to talk to the supervisor and he tells me that it doesn't matter what someone else saids, he told me to bring it in person to check it out, and that to make things clear at least the truck starts, but at this point the truck is now having the same problems before it broke down on me, I'd give i 0 stars if I could, this place is a total waste of time

Lied to me and left me adabdoned on the side of the road. Wouldn't use the if they were the last tow company in Frederick! Horrible customer service!

They left a customer stranded in a snow storm after coming out once and saying they would be back and never coming. Do NOT count on this company to help you in your time of need.

You are the worst example of a towing company I have ever experienced. You lied to me, abandoned me in the snow and freezing temperatures and then your dispatcher was rude obnoxious and then hung up on me! If you are the owner you need to get a handle on things or you won't be in business much longer!
