I had a dead battery. Since AAA was sold out of this battery, I went to 40 West. I pulled up and they had me in, replaced the battery and on my way in less than 30 minutes.

Russell said the facility did an inspection and his vehicle failed because a light was loose in the socket. He went home, tightened it, then brought it back and the vehicle passed.

John Harris and crew, the entire 40 west crew are the best you'll find in Frederick, probably the best in Maryland. The shop is clean, the service and quality of work is top notch. I've been taking my vehicles here since 2004 and I'm extremely picky about who works on my cars. With this shop, you'll have a two-way conversation, John listens to his customers and he truly advises you on what needs and doesn't need to get done. They also offer a no questions asked shuttle service which makes the process so much easier. I am 100% pleased each time I pick up my car and they are the "the one & only" shop that I trust. You should strongly consider switching mechanics or ditching the dealer for 40 West Auto Care, they are the best in Maryland.

Ron said the employees could have tried to sell him other services and items, but they were honest and professional. They got his vehicle back out on the road.

40 West repairs just what needs to be repaired. They do good work.

I found 40 West when I first bought my used 2006 Toyota Sienna van from Fitzgerald Toyota in Gaithersburg (which I no longer trust). The van came with a dead battery, Which had to be jumped for me to drive home. This turned out to be an ongoing problem. Because I’m a AAA member, I called for a jumpstart the next morning finding the battery dead after a doctors appointment. 40 West came to my rescue. I asked the driver/technician if 40 West was a good repair place and was assured it was. That was nine years ago. John Harris, the terrific manager who’s worked at 40 West since he was in high school, has done or supervised all my van repairs ever since. He’s patient, kind, and really knows what he’s doing. He’s also extremely honest and doesn’t rip me off. And he listens. I am a bit of a nudge and can be a pain in the neck with many questions. John always answers them and is willing to work with me until I am happy. Cannot imagine having my van repaired anywhere else. And if I ever get a new car, I will continue with 40 West. Everyone there is wonderful, from Earl the owner to Debbie, the office manager/mom-to-everyone, who always calms me down & takes great care of me. I am a happy camper! Juliann Martinez

After being a loyal customer for 6 years, I find the staff and service at 40 West Auto to be excellent. I can see why AAA gives them the highest marks. They have always been able to service my car quickly, efficiently, and their prices are very reasonable. I will continue to be a loyal customer and I've already recommended their service to many of my friends.
